Question about grip modules

I have a P320 compact currently. I am wanting to put an X series grip module on it. My question is will I have to change my magazine base pads? Thank you in advance.

You will need the 2nd Gen base pads on the X series. Or, you can mod the Gen 1 mags to work.

So are the Gen 2 bases, the ones with square hole?

I have a 320 compact and put the x compact grip module on mine. My magazine base pads are oval shaped with the SIG logo on them.

Dude just use a dremel tool. It takes about one minute to fix them. I purposely buy the old ones for cheap like the P250 and fix them right up.

I don't have a Dremel tool but I have a Zona saw. You have to be careful with it and it'll tale more than a minute to fix but it worked perfectly. Also, there was virtually no mess left over.
I trimmed off those tabs with some tile snips, hit them with a sanding block.... done.
I just used a pocket knife to trim mine, its a relatively "soft" plastic
