Do you use a 1.5" or 1.75" belt? If you use a 1.75", have you noticed a difference?

1.5" because it fits on my long pants and shorts. This is the max for some of the belt loops on some of my clothes.

I wear mostly dress pants or casual pants that wont fit a 1.75" belt, heck some of the belt loops are pretty tight with the 1.5".

1.5 is my choice because it doesn’t limit pants or shorts choices and most holsters and clips fit 1.5” width.

Does anyone have any recommendation on a 1.5 belt that would go with a suit?
I don’t have any 1.75” belts. Just 1.5 and 1.25 inch belts from Hanks. I actually prefer the 1.25

1.5, because others have indicated belts don’t always fit 1.75

Kore Essentials X2 Gunmetal. A really sharp belt, I wear one with my dress slacks for work every day.

I have both, but prefer the 1.75. The belt barely fits into jean loops, but it does. I use Kore Essentials belts. Highly recommend them. I have a dress belt in 1 1/2, a sturdier 1 1/2 inch belt, and my favorite - The Garrison in 1.75. I just feel like it has a firmer hold while doing daily activity.
I do not carry my pistol attached to my pant belt. I use a separate belt that the holster is attached to. It ride closer to my waist and is far more comfortable than any belt carry holster that I have tried. It makes the pant belt size irrelevant since it only carries the weight of the pant.

Phlster Enigma is the name of the one that I use. A Marine brought it to my attention and, after research, I purchased one. It'a better than any belt holster I have used.
1.5 for CC, 1.75 for range/war belt
My only 1.75" belts are from competition days and see little use of late.

Unnecessarily heavy and unforgiving for anywhere except the range...

When I need to carry with a suit/dress slacks, the Kore style belts prove a perfect compromise.

They're the only belt I wear now, as they are perfectly adjustable and good to go with various holsters...

Sweet, I’ll be buying a black and brown one.

Does anyone CCW OWB with an open suit jacket on top?. If the wind blows slightly, I’ve been made. If anyone knew I carry into work I’d get fired. Anyone else here CCW with an open suit jacket?
1.5” but sometimes 1.25” or even 1”. I strongly prefer heavy nylon webbing, continuously adjustable.

1.25 for IWB, and 1.5 for OWB. I use Beltman belts, so a 1.5 would be enough for a Dirty Harry revolver. I’d only need 1.75 if I was going for a fashion statement.
I have both. Mine are from Relentless Tactical and I have been 100% satisfied with them. They have a lifetime guarantee which I had to use several years ago when the steel core on one of my belts started to slip. They replaced it with no issues. I own 4 of their belts now - 2 steel core for everyday and 2 regular 1.75 inch for work and 1.5 inch for church.
1.5" double layer bullhide.
Probably be dead before I wear it out
Predominantly 1.5" daily
Outdoor range / course I strap the 1.75" as I have more gear attached, spread the load.
KORE essential gets my vote 💪🏼🇺🇸
If all of my pants and shorts would accept a 1.75", thats what I would prefer, but severl of my pants will barely accept a 1.5", so I just stick to that for my edc belt size.
I have Kore belts in both sizes and both leather and webbed.

Since retirement, I mostly wear jeans and 1.75 webbed belt. I do use 1.5 with slacks. My carry choice and holster depend on attire.
1.5” SOE belt is what I use everyday. I have a 1.75 but it’s tough to get on some pants but I do like the sturdiness of it. So only wear it on certain occasions
I prefer the 1.5". You just need to make sure it's a thicker belt if pure leather, or a reinforced belt if thinner. If it resists sagging while conforming to your waist, you should be good to go. Bullhide belts were always a favorite for me.
