PMM barrel & Comp.

Looking for some advice if possible. I have a X Compact Slide with Parker Mountain Machine dual port Ultra JTTC comp and barrel. But when I install it onto my carry module it doesn’t cycle most of the time and generally get lots of stove pipes. But if installed on my full size X module it runs great even using just standard range ammo.
Has anyone got any ideas of Why this could be happening someone did mentioned it could be because the compensator runs better on the full size Module due to it sitting flush on the full dust cover.

Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I really do want to run it with my carry module.

Many thanks in advance
Pete.

Not sure why you have different results on your carry vs full size grip modules. I just built a TXG (Full size) grip module with a x carry slide and a dual port Harrington Arms comp. Stove pipes galore today the first time I took it out. These are the 3 solutions I've found online:
1) run heavier ammo like 124 gr, or even 124gr NATO (heavier powder load than standard but not quite to level of +P)
2) remove factory recoil spring and replace with DPM adjustable spring using the lightest (shortest) spring
Here: Sig Sauer P320 XCompact 3.6″ Barrel – DPM Systems Technologies Ltd
3) run several hundred rounds to break it in

Is the full sized grip module more broken in? The dust cover length should not affect results. My full sized TXG is new and is having the same problems you are having with your carry module. I've read that the break in really affects results. Dual port comps are also finicky because they vent so much gas that not much energy is available to kick back the slide and eject the shell leading to stovepipes. The lighter recoil spring requires less energy to overcome so the slide cycles properly. The problem is that only DPM makes compact and carry sized adjustable recoil springs (costs an extra $100).

Hope that helps.

Follow-up report: I ran 124gr ammo, put the lightest(shortest) DPM spring in, and put 400 rounds through the gun (stovepipes got less frequent along the way). That seems to have fixed it. Today zero stovepipes or mis-feeds with the 180 rounds I shot. Very happy.

Nice. Thanks for the information and update. I'm heading to the range this weekend so wish me luck lol
