P320 x series model identification

3589 Views 14 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Tgg
Hello all. New to the group. I recently purchased a beautiful P320. The manual says x series. But it doesn't specify if it's compact or subcompact. I need to know for ordering a few parts/upgrades. Does anyone know how to identify the sub model or what distinguishing features identify it? Also I'd love to hear your favorite modifications.

I believe that's NOT a "X", that is P320 COMPACT. There's a ton of parts depending on what you like, check out Go Gas Pedal take down lever or Armory Craft has their sport version both very good. Work on grips....all kinds Sig grips, Gray Guns, Sig TXG, Sig AXG, POLYMER 80, MIRZON, ICARUS....Have fun looking, Check out ARMORY CRAFT. SigSauerparts, Osage County Guns. You will get the SIGNESS....Ha Ha Ha.....:pistol:

They manual is the same for almost all of the 320 series handguns. Unless you have the orginal shipping ;abel with the info on it, it could have left the factory as almost anything. Slide lenght and grip module capacity will quickly give you the current configuration.

Well I'm in Ma so it came with a 10 round. I think I'll call Sig with the serial number
I agree with @Dholiday666 it looks like a P320 compact to me and not an X series.

Do you have the factory plastic box? It should say on the sticker on the side of the box.

It says 320c so I assume that must mean compact. Thank you!

Even the standard models that I have purchased have come with the manual that says X series. Whether it was a commercial purchase or an APP purchase. If its 3.9 length slide with 15 round magazine capacity then it would be a compact. subcompact would use a 12 round magazine however a 15 rounder would work in it just stick out on the bottom.

XCompact also uses 15 round mags.
XCompact also uses 15 round mags.
That is true and it is the best shooting 320 in my opinion.

Yours is a P320 Compact. Not an XCompact, not an X series anything.

It's has the "standard" compact grip module (likely a medium). Note it has 4 slots on the pic rail. The slide in 3.9 inches long (flush with dust cover). The slide could work on an Carry, XCarry or XCompact grip module. Manual safety is a requirement in MA unless it has a 10# trigger.

Have a look here: P320 Nitron Compact.

Your SKU is (most likely) 320C-9-BSS-MS-MA (C=Compact, 9=9mm, B=Nitron finish, SS=Siglite Night Sights, MS=Manual Safety, MA=MA compliant)

This is great info. Thank you very much. So when I'm looking for parts, grip module, slide etc I should be sure it's for compact only or would xcompact work? I actually love the grip on it, I probably won't change it lol
Here is a good looks at the differences between the compact and the xcompact.

An XCompact grip module would work fine. I use an XCompact grip module with my Compact slide.. There are also a ton of 3rd party grip modules and slides to choose from. At this time, I suggest you spend your money on ammo and range time to get accustomed to your new 320.

The Signess takes many forms. One variant is the 320 strain where you end up buying grip modules, slides, barrels and other parts when you have only 1 fcu.

Your magazine base plates might not work with an X grip module (without modification). When you get a Wilson Combat module in your hand you’ll throw away the original. 😎
