P320 safety lever pin question???

1780 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  2Thumbs
I have a question concerning the safety over pin on my P 320 FCU. I have 3 of them and only 1 does this. With the FCU out of the gun if you turn the FCU left side down, The safety lever pin will fall out if the safety lever is in the rearward position. It’s easy enough to push back in and won’t fall out when it’s in the frame. Sig sent me a new pin and it does the same thing. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or if I should even worry about it.

Sounds good. I’ll just leave it alone. Thanks for the reply.
Small drop of Red Loctite will help retain the Safety Lever Pin in place

Mine does the same, but only on the Custom shop version as you have pictured.

Mine is also the Custom Works. My original FCU’s don’t do it.
Put a little grease in there and it'll keep it in place.
Sig changed the safety lever (lifter for striker block) so it no longer needed the spring. My guess is the spring helped to hold the pin in.

Here's the two "lifts". The on on the left (Captive) is the newer one (no spring). The one on the right is the older one (now discontinued).

Glad I found this post. I just purchased a new 320XC-9-BXR3-PRO and when i removed the FCU to install a skeletonized trigger this pin fell out. I almost lost my mind.
