Need advice: I'm interested in modifying my P290rs in the following two areas: the trigger, and guide rod.

Has anyone else done this already, or done enough research to give advice?

My purpose in changing the trigger is to shorten the pull, or at least make it easier. (I'm looking at the RTK trigger kit from Galloway.)

The factory guide rod is polymer, and a stainless steel one is available. Is there a noticeable difference when this is modified?

290 RS mods

I bought a trigger from Galloway, but did not like the way it felt, returned same. I did by their SS recoil rod for my 290RS 9/380 and spring for 9mm as they did not know if it would work with 380.

Thanks for the heads up...how did the Galloway trigger feel?

Also, do you have the 9mm or the .380?
