Anyone have failure to feeds on the first round of a ten round magazine? Nothing feeds. Not even ball. Thumb release slide catch and slingshot slide, both fail.

So, you've tried different bullet types. I assume you've also tried different mags. Is the spring & follower possibly putting too much pressure on the top round forcing it to be at a more protruded angle? Spring too heavy? What size of frame is it, SC or Compact?
Just food for thought.

Does it feed OK with just 9 in the magazine?
Half of my 10 round 45 mags, we're ridiculously hard to load the 10th round. Load them up, and let them sit a week, and they should be a bit easier to load them up. There's just not enough inertia, to feed that first round when that tight.
Finally got to the range (kids…) and it was my reloads. Factory ammo is no problem on my full size 45. My micrometer says the reload bases are about 4 thousandths bigger. That is after using a Lee bulge buster. They run fine on my XDs. Oh well.
