Hello,
I've got a 239 that I've had since roughly 2004. I'd like to have a light on it for carry. Obviously no rail limits this. Has anybody seen anything like the viridian LC9 lights (Viridian RTL-LC9 Gun Laser Sights | Viridian Green Laser Gun Sights) only for a 239? I've searched every corner of the internet that I can find but can't seem to find anything for the 239. It seems to be a fairly popular gun so I'm kind of surprised nobody makes anything for it. The viridian and the streamlight TLR6 seem to be the only trigger guard mounted lights out there but neither of them fit the 239. Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Welcome to Sig Talk from the southwest corner of Indiana. As already mentioned, I haven't observed anything for the P239 either. Besides, attaching a light would detract from it's "compactness". If for carry "duty", I would suggest a separate light, unless you're only "out" at night.

Well that's a little disappointing to hear. Some of us carry this gun for work and yes are mostly "out" at night. The newer lights can be made so low profile that they wouldn't really take away from the compactness. I'm not saying that the light always needs to be present but for people that regularly depend on the weapon, it's a great OPTION to have, especially if it could me made to rapidly attach/detach from the trigger guard like options that are available for other platforms. Some are limited by policies in what we carry. If anybody from Sig, Surefire, Streamlight, etc, are listening: some people need a trigger guard mounted light for the P239. Thanks for the responses and welcomes.

Welcome as well.

There isn't a lot of "Accessories" for the 239 because of the weapon's design intent.

The 239 was an offering for Non Patrol officers. By this i mean Detectives, Staff, Officers (Lt. Capt. Above) for officers looking for a "weapon of convenience". Much like the 2 1/2 inch barrel on a revolver of the 1960s to 1980s. It handles the full duty cartridges (9MM Mouse, .40 short and wimpy, and 357 Oh My Gosh Sig).
Officers of rank, administrative and Poor Cops out on the town with the wife are NOT supposed to be involved in Massive Gunfights. Hence the limitations of:
Trigger (Short reach or long)
Trigger action (Short Reset or long.)
Grips (Several including one with an aiming device)
Some extensions on Magazines (10 round for 9MM, 8 for .40 and 357)

Holsters abound, IWB, OWB, Shoulder, and in your Crotch if you want.

But it ain't the SRT weapon or the Officer on Patrol weapon. which is why the litigation of No Rail, or light.

I have looked at those lights and thought about how to adapt one to my P225A1 for the same reason. Mainly because I am on the road early in the morning and late in the evening. I prefer the smaller size of the gun over a P229R for daily use. A friend has a light like this one his Glock 43 and it got me to thinking.
