New owner here of a P239 and I'm trying to find the date it was made. I've Googled and read every link I could find. Search Sig Talk. Still no luck. I know I could call Sig C/S and ask and hope for free informantion, but I thought I would try here first.
Here is my info on the P239.
Blue Sigarms case.
S/N: SA910xx
Right grip date: 9/98
Left grip date: 3/02
Bar code on case: 7 98681 10142 9

That was made sometime between 2005 and 2006 I have 1 that is several thousand lower than that that was produced in Nov 2005 and one that is about 40K higher that was produced in Jan 2007 if I had to guess I would have to say early 2006.

So completekneebiter's estimation is pretty close. The list on the green site shows similar numbers.

Call sig, it takes like five seconds and they can give you a date.

I called Sig C/S. Their data based went back to 2005. This s/n was not in it. So he said it was sometime before 2005.

It's got to be right around then. So maybe around the end of 2004.
