A new to me Sig P230SL has me puzzled. The on-line videos on field stripping shows the hammer cocked with the takedown lever down and the slide should move back and lift up and off. Just one problem. With the hammer cocked the slide does not move far enough to the rear to lift the slide off. If the hammer is down and I move the slide back it goes far enough rearward to lift off the slide.

Something tells me there is something amiss here for some reason, but, I cannot see what it is.

Any ideas???
