Could anyone here tell me about the P229 frame finish and frame material? Like this one here below? is the frame steel or aluminum? Also what kind of finish does the frame have?

And anodized color. Not a top-coat of anything.

Nice color combo in your picture. I've seen some of these that are green(ish) which isn't so
attractive.

Looks like a true 1913 spec rail not the lame Sig proprietary rail, similar to the Mk25s.

Here is my Combat family. Two pictures to show how the finish can look under different lighting.

Another pic of my P229 Combat.

NICE!! I see what you mean about the color too. Almost goes from FDE to gold.

Description

This is a used Sig Sauer P229 Combat semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm. It features a 3.9-inch barrel, stainless steel slide with a black nitron finish, SigLite night sights, front/rear slide serrations, hammer decocker, polymer grip panels, and a steel frame with a flat dark earth finish.

Of course it depends on the lighting you use, as GBIA has shown with his photos. My P226 Combat in sunlight seems to have a greenish tinted gold look to it.

I feel the anodized frame finish is more durable, than the Cerakoted ones, but "tactically" the Cerakoted ones would have less sheen, than the anodized frames, so would less likely reflect sunlight, if that mattered.
