Whats your opinion about the recoil reduction spring system made by DPM for the p226 x5?

Found this at a local gun store but i don't now which one is better?
This system or the supermatch's factory springs????

The sticker should tell the tale-
9mm 40S&W 45ACP 10mm

I drank their kool aide for the P220 R 5 10mm system.
I fired 2 rounds of 10mm.
I would not use the system for 40S&W let alone a 10mm that it was marketed for.
Total JUNK.

You said you fired 2 rounds using the DPM system but never said what happened.

I've use the DPM system on several of my handguns and never had any issues with it.

Hey Dan, So you know, I'm not trying to give you a hard time and I too don't believe in "snake oil" recoil reducers, unless we're talking the only one that works and we've had it all along... a firm grip. :)

But, I too want to know details. I have a number of 10's and I can only guess you either meant it didn't shoot like a 9mm and you were disappointed? Or it had no effect comparing the gun without the "system" or was it that you compared it to other 10's and it was unsatisfactory?

I have the dpm recoil system on multiple polymer guns in 9mm and 45acp and a few metal 45acp and it works without a doubt. The one I noticed the least amount of difference was .y cz shadow 2. But all the rest it worked as intended

I use this kit and it's great. I have three kits for my x series.

If you reload your ammo and do competition shootings, you have to be able to tune the springs for your ammo. ....I mean this kit is handy as it has many combinations of spring powers.
With factory spring, you have to choose ammo for the gun...

And btw it does reduce recoil...

Someone told me that STI uses DPM for their recoil spring.
I shot my B&W and my competition, which had the DPM system in.
I could not believe how flat it shot compared to my B&W. I was able to track the front fiber sight during the whole cycle process. Never had that before w/my other fiber front sights on my other guns.
