I've got a 6378 ALS holster for the P226 without a rail. Locking of course is at the ejection port. The tension adjuster is located at the front of the trigger guard, and it will not accept a P226R. I would guess that if the P226R version of the 6378 ALS would be similarly manufactured, so the longer trigger guard of the P226 without a rail would prevent the ejection port from reaching the "lock" of the ALS system.

I have a P229's in rail and non rail. Both fit equally fine in the ALS holster. The holster "was" purchased for the rail model.

The P226 should be the same in comparison.

Mine fits my 226 Legion and 220 no rail.
I imagine the 226 no rail would be the same.

So an ALS for a no rail will fit the P220 and P226?
Even though I don't have a Safariland ALS holster, but my Bianchi PaddleLok Mod. 83 was made for the P220/226.
It fits my non rail P229 and my P227 SAS equally good. (Seems like the P227 SAS is a P229 in .45ACP) ;)
The locking mechanism on that model is on the trigger guard and not the ejection port.
What I'm trying to say is: The P220, P226, P229 P227 are pretty close in their design.
