Yes, an orange color coded twisted wire recoil spring if a 9x19 Bbl is installed in it's appropriate slide.

A green color coded twisted wire (same as P220 45ACP) recoil spring if a 357SIG or 40S&W Bbl/slide is installed on the P226 frame.

I've a 1990 W. German Made, Non-Rail, P226. Does it use the 15lb factory weight recoil spring? Also, are all generations P226 use the same recoil springs?

The .40 also comes in flat wire which is interchangeable with the braided wire spring

All of my 9mm, P226, has the orange spring, as Dan mentioned.

Wolff says it's a 15 pound spring for a 9mm P226, to answer the OP's question:
