I live in CA and own some legal 15 round Sig branded P226 magazines. I am looking for replacement followers in case mine wear.
Can anyone tell me if these will work in the original style P226 mags?

If not, where can I get some replacements? Numrich does not have them, nor does MGW.

Ordinarily mags are a disposable part but I need to make due.

Who are your mags made by? Are they newer or older? The newer mags are made by Mec-Gar in Italy. Older mags are made by JP Sauer and Sohn.

That link says "Italian" so probably for the Mec-Gar's.

JP Sauer and Sohn mags have the holes on the rear and you can see the dovetail design.

Mec-Gar's have the holes on the sides. (Pic is NOT an 9mm mag).

Since you've physically got the magazines compare the followers to their photo.

That recess, on both sides of the follower is what allows it to pass the recessed (dimpled) portions of the magazine tubes. Here is an "early" Mec-Gar 9mm P226 magazine, that only differs from the Sauer & Sohn magazines by the method of securing the back of the magazine tube.

Sauer & Sohn used both spot welded "zipper" or "dovetail" seams, while Mec-Gar used a "hidden", lengthwise welded seam if observed from the outside. But can be seen from the "inside"!

What Top Gun Supply is offering, appears to be correct.

bblr, the earlier Mec-Gars were basically identical, these being "Pre-Ban"

Were those SIG branded, or only their after-market mags?

The OP specifically asked about OEM SIG mags.

Thanks for the responses and the link to the other thread.
They are older zipper back mags, pre-ban JP Sauer.
I guess the better way to phrase the question is:
Are the followers specific to Sauer/Mec-Gar or interchangeable?

And yes, I will pop one apart and compare but the picture is only from 1 angle

The photos I posted were of "commercial" Mec-Gar magazines, that were "Pre-Ban", and use the same followers, magazine springs, and floorplates as the Sauer & Sohn magazines I have inspected. During my time as a department Armorer the majority of out magazines were Sig branded Sauer & Sohn dovetail back magazines, and many of our "extras", were Mec-Gars, such as the ones I showed. We each had a 4th magazine, for range use, as our qualification course required (4) 12 round magazines.

Personally I used "all" Mec-Gar magazines, after my one incident with the dovetailed P220 magazine with the "broken" top spot weld... (paranoia!).

I don't believe Sig started using Mec-Gar "full capacity" magazines until after 2004 and the end of the initial magazine capacity ban. By that time, they did away with the "dimples" in the sides, and started using the side witness holes, as you had shown earlier.

I'm positive they will work, even the same as the later P226 Mec-Gar magazines.
