844 Views 9 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  ARMORY CRAFT
good morning people! My P-220 Elite Stainless SAO finally came and im looking to :
1. remove rose wood grips off ( trying to shoot pistol and keep original parts pristine)
2. install new grips.
3. Take stock trigger out and put in either an Armory Craft or Grey Guns Flat Trigger

I need help finding those items and for sure need advice on how to install them

Search will serve you well. Grips are easy enough - Nils or Hogue are all you need. If you are not comfortable with the trigger installation, send it to AC.
Clean & lube the pistol.
Shoot it.
Once the novelty wears off....in a week or so....you'll put it up for sale.

Since you do not have the mechanical aptitude to remove grip panels or decipher screw sizes seek a Professional to install any pieces/parts in any of your firearms!
I go with the Hogue G10 grips. They make many different patterns so you will have to look them over to decide what looks good to you. Do yourself a favor and get a good gunsmith screwdriver set. Wheeler or Brownells make good ones.
I went with Armory Craft for my flat triggers partly because they are the only one that makes one for the 225 and partly because they are local to me so I get stuff in about a day or two. I also like their pattern.

I buy my Armory Craft stuff straight from them. The grips I shop around for and grab the ones I want from whoever has them in stock.

I would also recommend the tool kits offered by Sig Guy if you don't already have punches and such. It may be a little expensive for what it is but the convenience makes up for it. Sig Guy also had a lot of videos on installing parts and servicing different Sig models.

Here are some checkered grips - says they are aluminum but the reviews say they are G10 Amazon. I prefer the smooth GG flat trigger verses the serrated AC trigger. Matty, some times it is better to not respond to some posts. Have fun with the 10mm.

220 SSEs are great guns that are not easy to fund these day.
Here is mine in 10mm with a few AC parts. Fun shooter.
