I'm not not really up to speed on the P220, as my SIG's are all in .40 / 357 with a few 9's. Keep in mind that Germany reunited in 1990, so that would be simply a "German" frame, with a USA machined stainless slide.

BTW, did you end up getting that P229 w/two barrels and laser grips in your other thread?

Be careful with flitz. It’s mildly abrasive and may dull it or completely change its original look. Seems like it simply needs a good cleaning is all. Nice gun

Are you suggesting the slide is a milled USA slide with an internal extractor or are you saying folded carbon slides were made in the USA?
Or, it is, in fact, a German made P220 that was assembled in the USA? (My guess)
Germany reunified in late 1990. Manufactures were allowed to stamp W Germany for 5 years after. To differentiate their products, because their quality far exceeded E Germany products. The slide in the OP was likely made in Germany, just because I don’t think they shipped machines to the US to make folded slides. Very nice pistol OP,

OP's gun is all stainless. The is no folded slide there. The slide is US made. What bumper said is what it is.

So dont use it on this? It made some spots on my Kimber Raptor Barrel look amazing!

So it is a milled slide with an internal extractor? I had no idea there was such a thing

All the early P220 STs are like that. And, so are 99.9% of the German Xguns.

Did not know that about the STs (Did about the Xs but they were made in Germany)
I had no idea there was an American made milled slide with an internal extractor. Very cool
Do they use the same internal extractor of the folded slides the specific P220 version or can they use the P226/228 extractor?

Not to rain on anybody's parade but are these the early internal extractors in stainless steel slides with issues?

Extractor for the folded slide is not the same as the one in the ST. Not interchangeable. The folded slide one is no problem as designed. The one in the ST, as wgsigs mentioned above, was problematic for many (not all) owners (from what I read) of the gun.

Great info, all new to me.(y)
This has 2 retention pins but only one goes through to both sides. Is that for the FP and the one that is only on the right side the extractor pin?
A friend recently was high bidder on a P220ST 2 tone. I have not seen the pistol (yet) but have emailed him to bring it to the range (a week from now) so I can examine it.
Is there a different P220ST model?
