ordering ammo for my p320 x -compact

I know almost nothing about ammo. I want to buy a bunch of 9mm ammo for my new p320 x-compact. I'm looking at one place and they have Blazer Brass 115 grain and 124 grain. This is ammo that I want to go shoot at the range to break in the firearm. Is there a big difference between the two choices? Is this ammo not recommended? I'll pick up some self defense rounds later just looking for what would be best for range and training.

Blazer is decent range ammo. Will go bang every time you pull the trigger. It’s dirty, you should at the very least clean the barrel bore after use. 115, 124 or 147 grain ammo are all good to go.

I use Winchester 9mm nato 124 gr for the most part at the range. It is basically a +p round and chronos close to my 124 gr hst. It's also pretty reasonable in price and can be bought in bulk.

Sorry damn autocorrect. It is basically a +p. I'm on my cell phone and it does what it wants sometimes.

I decided early on to avoid the cheap, dirty ammo - worth the extra buck or so per box to get higher quality (S&B, Fiocchi, Fed Eagle, Sig, Norma etc.).
My P320 seems to like the 124 better than 115.

I'm sitting here wondering how often you have to type that word before your phone thinks that is the word you were trying to type.:rofl:

I like Norma 124gr and Norma MHP a lot. Unfortunately, Norma's FMJ has been hard to find since Ukraine war started. Fortunately, I have a few thousand rounds stashed.

Interesting I found a retailer that is one of the few that will ship to me directly and they are selling Norma.
Blazer works but a bit too dirty for my preference. Wouldn’t kick it out of bed if there were no other options but I stick with Lawman and Federal AE as plan A. I like 124 because my defensive rounds are Gold Got +P 124 for my 9mm and 125 for my 357.

Does the Lawman have a lot more recoil? I'm looking at Magtech and Norma as well.

Snag it if the price is reasonable. I normally buy direct from Norma’s facility in Georgia. In February I was paying 34 cpr for it

I never notice any recoil differences between Lawman or any other brands. Admittedly, I’m not recoil sensitive but I think brand to brand you won’t see any difference that is noticeable.

I don’t really see much recoil difference from brand to brand. And honestly, 9mm is a light recoil anyhow.
