Non-LCI barrel on LCI slide

I'm 99% sure I've seen/read this, but I do not have a barrel that does not have an LCI to verify for myself.

I've got an M17 slide that obviously has an LCI notch in it. I'm looking to add a threaded barrel that does NOT have the LCI notch. I know I'll have to remove the spring and and LCI piece, but there should be no reason that that it would not function, correct? Or anything else to keep an eye out for?

Correct it will fit if you remove the lci lever
