Next Upgrade?

451 Views 12 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  1eyedjack
I just finished my second P365 XMACRO build. I went with an FDEZ XXL slide in Cobalt (love the Cobalt) and one of their ported barrels. I have not shot it yet, however.

I am looking for the next upgrade. I feel like it--and both pistols--lack some flare and color.

I'm considering simply cerakoting the grips, possibly burnt bronze, OD or Bazooka green?

I've seen laser stippling. While the end result looks cool, I question how it affects the overall grip. I also don't like the idea of burning a finished product. And of course, those jobs are rather pricey. Who has purchased or used these grips?

After that, I was looking at Gray Guns adjustable triggers.

Thoughts and suggestions?

What about optics.
What about optics.
Good call. I tried an RMR on my P320 and didn't like it. I found myself faster and still quite accurate with iron sights. I further found issues with the RMR going indoors and outdoors during cooler and winter weather, and fogging the glass.

Once again, however, both slides are built for optics. I have considered a Holosun. I believe they offer a fully-enclosed unit.
I hear what you are saying. It took me a while to transition to the red dot but now that I have it works really well for me. My distance vision is 20/20 but a need readers for close up and intermediate so when I shoot with iron sights I need to use my readers. Not the case with the red dot. You just have to stick with it and eventually it will click.

The lightbulb moment when someone realizes it really is as simple as "what the dot is on is where the bullet goes." Newer shooters actually pick up that bit much quicker than more seasoned shooters, who insist on trying to fight the dot to keep it still and worry about the sight system more than the target (as is the case with irons). There's a level of disbelief that is hard to overcome.

look at the Holosun EPS which is a closed emitter and doesn’t have that problem

Thanks. I may give that a shot.

Maybe I lack the caffeine but I'm not sure which part you're responding to
Why not leave them as they are? They look rather nice to me.
