I just recently acquired a P226 Extreme and took it to the range for the first time. I was surprised that my groupings were always low and left. Is it my grip???
Welcome from Va. I would say you are anticipating the recoil and pushing the gun befor it goes bang. Try some dry fire practice and when shooting remember, trigger finger control and just pull threw with even pressure and just let it go bang.
Low, left hits, indicate that you may be "pulling" the trigger from the rest position. Try "squeezing" the trigger until it will fire, stop, and just squeeze the round off.
Fullsize SIG Sauers and classic USGI 1911s have always been among my favourite guns, I never stop learning, and after about 37 years of guns-ownership I still enjoy shooting my own reloadings at least twice a week.
This is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to, hope you'll enjoy your time here.
