I've owned several sigs over the years. Still own older p229 .40, and newer 938 rosewood as my carry. Looking for a 239 in 357 for new carry, but not sure of benefits vs p229 357...

Welcome from PA!

Had both. P239 and 229 are perfect guns. 239 easier to conceal, 229 is easier to hold.

You must hold both to decide.

P229 is my favorite SIG. Traded my 239 after fondling a P225-A1, which may replace the P239 some day.

Check out the 225-A1 before buying anything. May be SIGs: "Cinderella Story".

NICE GUN!!!!!!!!

Greetings and Welcome from Alaska.

The P239 has a thinner grip and I have the .357 Sig P239 and it shoots well. Had a P229 .357 Sig (it needed a bunch of work) and traded it along with $$ for the P239. I'll agree the 229 was easier on the grip, but I like the conceal-ability of the P239.
