I'm not going to pick a side in this "will it work" (reliably) discussion. However, would anyone trust their life to a 9mm mag in a .380 gun? Playing around at the range, or training with it would be no issue for me. Having it in the carry scheme is not something I would consider. Personal decision I Know, but think about it for a second (or 2, or 3....)

In the XL grip, I prefer the 15 round mag. Looks better, feels better.

I agree. I carry my xl with a 15 round mag and a spare 15 round mag. No reason to buy the 17 round mag. If you can't get it done with 30 rounds you're just not meant to get it done.!

I cannot think of a reason that one would buy a 15 round mag today given the 17s are out there. That is what I lean by obsolete. I'm sure you made a good decision at the time to have a 15 round (+3) backup mag. Good on you. Its just that now they are obsolete given the 17 rounder.

Except my state Illinois prohibits mags over 15 rounds. Dumb, but unless law is overturned. Other states, CO I think so too.

Notwithstanding the use of P365 17RD MAGAZINE (ALL MODELS) by Sig, we have established that "all models" does not include the P365-380; which is a P365 model, is it not?
