Hi everyone!

Just purchased my first AR ... Sig m400 swat. Can't wait to pick it up in 10 days. Looking for suggestions on accessories and ammo. I usually purchase ammo for my handgun through LAX ... Is that the best bet for my AR also?

Congrats and welcome to the forum. A good optic and you should be rolling. Any quality 556/223 should run fine through it, so have fun!

The M400 is a great rifle, should perform well for you for many years. One item I deem essential on an M400 is a sling. Beyond that it is a matter of personal choice and mission. Shoot it like you stole it!

As MC said, a sling for sure. I'd suggest trying several types of ammo, each rifle seems to have a particular favorite. The 400 should function fine with about any 5.56 but you'll find certain bullet weights and styles will be more accurate. The only way to know is to shoot the **** out of it. Congrats!

As a former Kommiefornian, I've felt your pain on that dreaded 10 day wait. That said, congrats on the new rifle! You'll love it once you get your hands on it finally.

As for ammo, mine shoots anything and everything I feed it. From 55 gr. Tulammo to 77 gr. Remington Sierra Matchking. It loves it all with varying degrees of accuracy.

Get a trigger upgrade and you'll love it! I started out with some JP Springs ($12) just got a Hipertouch 24-3G... Anything is better than the stock trigger!
