New less expensive Magazines for the MPX

6021 Views 22 Replies 17 Participants Last post by  KGX2012
Looks like Sig came out with new Magazines for our MPX. A 20 and 35 round. $49.99 each the old style magazines cost $67.99. So a $18 cheaper is something. Looking at them I don’t think that after market parts for the other style magazines will work.

I’d like to see them side-by-side with the current mags. That 35-rounder looks big…like, too big. 🤔
Interesting, and a completely different look too. Arguably better looking than the semi-opaque mags.
They are thril mags. I believe you can order them direct as well.

Huh, just checked. I think you're correct!

Good news. I've always been happy with Lancers, but $70 for a mag is painful.

But is this a 20 or a 25-round mag? The web page says both, depending on where you look...

The originals were Lancers, which in my opinion may be the best magazine out there. I'm sure some people don't like them. I'll wait to see if Lancer is now free to sell the MPX mags direct. Let's get a range report
Hmm. $39 direct from Thrill vs $49 from SIG. Note these are not SIG branded. Whatever.

You can purchase these exact same 35-round Thril magazines for $36.99 each at Osage County Guns. They're high-quality mags and I've not had problems with any of mine.

How do they compare size-wise with the Sig 30-rd magazines? 🤔
Just an fyi, you can get the Lancer ones for $47 from Osage County Guns. That’s where I’ve bought all mine from.

The Thril 35-round magazines are approximately 1/8" longer than the SIG MPX 30-round magazines.

I agree. I’ve never had one issue with a lancer.

Curious as to why Thril doesn't list the 20 rounders on the site and I can only find them at Sig?
The Lancer mags are expensive but they are top notch all the way around. The smoke translucent allows you to easily see your loadout and the mags are tough as nails. Nice to see competition for sure, but doesn't look like a competitor in the premium mag space for the MPX.

Just got mine, exact same size as the 30-rounders, the magazine insert is reduced by about 50% also.

Haven't tried mine yet, but that company doesn't fill me with confidence. It took them almost a year to deliver on their initial rollout.

They make some good AKV mags for PSA. Who knows why it took so long for them to get these out but if they did their due diligence and made a good product in the end thats what matters.
