I'm not sure if it's normal or not but it's really annoying. My six months old Legion P220 45ACP has developed nasty scratch on one side of slide. Metal is clearly being shaved off despite the fact that I ran no more than 300 rounds. Gun was properly lubricated from beginning.

Should I be concerned that it will get worse? Contact SIG?

Check the inner part of the frame where it contacts the worn area of the slide. There might be a burr that's rubbing the slide, or it's bad slide/frame alignment when your gun goes into battery. If not, it's probably a bad cerakote finish.

Either way, it's product defect. Give Sig CS a call and use your warranty for the fix.

It doesn't matter what the finish is.
There shouldn't be any contact in that area, even if it's just enough to wear off the coating.

My PVD Legion has that gold tint under the wear spots but not in that area.
It should be pretty easy to see where its rubbed on the frame.

It's clearly not finish problem. I see metal is being shaved off. Checked inside and one side of frame where slide moves worn more. I think it's time to give SIG call.

Thank you.
