New gun, just because

I’ve never owned a Beretta but I bought this one just because. Not very practical. I will never carry it, sights are almost nonexistent. But it’s cool. I was sorta, kinda considering a suppressor but with a wait time of a year I passed, at my age I think twice about buying green bananas.

My .32 Tomcat has been flawless. I have several Berettas and have never had an issue.

I have the 3032 Tomcat 32acp, incredibly accurate for such a small gun it's my pocket carry gym gun or doctor's appointment gun... there is also some very good ammo out there Buffalo Bore and Underwood

For informational purposes-the Minx comes in 22short and 25ACP. It is single action. The very old ones had no safety. Mine was a 1957, with a safety in 22short. The ones depicted so far are model 21A and 3032, the Bobcat and Tomcat respectively. My first piece of "junk," a 21A, was purchased new about 1986. I have put numerous bricks of ammo thru it. Eventually, the springs weaken, so I have sent it to Beretta several times for spring replacements. I enjoy it so much, this year I bought the TB model, wooden grips, black finish. I already had a dozen or so mags. Once upon a time, you could order them directly from an Italian company. I ordered from them twice. Chase took payment and converted it into lira on their end. I was getting 3 for 49 bucks, not bad. I believe the importation is now restricted.

A friend of mine has one in 22 short, and another in 22LR. I shot the 22LR and was really impressed that even with the small sights I could get a 2-3” group at 15 yards, single action. Double action I might as well been throwing rocks

For a pocket gun, I had the 22lr..Beretta Minx..in the mid 80's. As with all of my carry guns, when it's range day, which is my backyard, I shoot it directly out of carry mode. It 's good for establishing confidence in the gun. Well, this one went click (after three weeks in my pocket) and got sold the next day. No more carry rimfires for me. I went with the Seecamp .32 rather than try another Minx in .25.
I’ve had the Jetfire (.25) for years and it’s a terrific little gun.

Yes, .22 is nice and cheap, but .22 short is absurdly weak and, as you discovered, the rimfire is just not reliable enough.

Add feeding issues due to the rim and the lead bullet and the Minx becomes just a plinker.

Hey, if you like it, that's all that matters. I like small 22 pistols. Mine is just a shooter, fun and cute. Didn't buy it to impress. I wish it had better sights, but $200 for taller sights takes the fun factor out. I did switch out the grips on mine too. With decent ammo, mine shoots plinker accurate.
