New addition to the Sig family

Something about this P320 Max made it too hard to pass up. Can't wait to put some rounds down range tomorrow.

Cant wait to get one myself! Did you buy it new or used? I really want it for IDPA & USPSA right now im using my Sig P320 X-Compact (makes it more challenging but - Ive been improving greatly)
Originally i was trying to decide between the Sig Max or the Sig X5 Legion but spending the money on a red dot i think it makes more sense just to buy the MAX....

So I guess the question remains (and one you will have to answer after you hit the range or match is.... Do you LOVE your MAX or do you LIKE your MAX & why?

That is a VERY nice looking 320 sir. I have a fellow firearms instructor that is looking at one of these at a local dealer. Dealer was going to knock $100.00 off of price. Only thing he does not like is the fact it comes with a 6 moa dot, not a 3.

I have one and have been shooting it in the USPSA Carry Optic division. I did install a Greyguns sear and trigger. It’s been very reliable and for me, the 6 moa dot works fine for action pistol competitions. A bigger dot does allow you to turn the brightness down eliminating the “starburst” effect.

So what is the difference between this and an X5 Legion? Is it a Legion without the sights?

I have two X5 Legions. If I ran across the Max at any kind of discounted price, I would grab it.

Max comes with 4 21 round mags compared to 3 17 rounders with X5 Legion.
Max comes with Romeo 3Max optic.
Max comes with a different slide, serrated instead of cut out/ported slide.
Max has the front sight removed.
Max comes with a heftier price tag.

If you like the Sig series of optics (not a fan myself) it’s a good value, especially when you consider it comes with well over $200 worth of 21 round magazines.

I went X5, added a DPP, I would love to find a block off plate to remove my front sight.
I’m not nearly a good enough shot to tell you how much different the guns shoot from each other with one having the ported/lightened slide (X5 Legion) vs. full slide with serrations for grip.

Grip and internals/trigger are the same from one to the other.

I’ve shot both…but the Max I shot was all stock trigger, whereas my X5 has an Apex bar and 10% spring.
I obviously like my trigger and my DPP red dot better, but the Max is a fine gun indeed.

It’s motorcycle season so I’ll have some time away from the range, I’ll be sending my X5 and wife’s full size P320 to Sig Armorer for his comp trigger job on both guns..REALLY looking forward to that.

Got it dialed in at the range yesterday. Very flat shooting pistol and super fast target acquisition with the Max. I was surprised at the slide wear already starting to appear where it recipricates into the frame, but not a huge deal. I can't figure out if it shoots any flatter than the Spectre Comp yet, but what a bad *** shooter... soooo smooth.
