New 30 round magazine

I bought the new 30 round magazine and little to my surprise it tightens up the whole pistol has any one else bought and notice this . I just switched over to.my 5.45 inch threaded barrel same thing and the magazine tighten up my M18 also has anyone else noticed this.

If SIG had it made correctly, it would need a fairly stiff magazine spring so that it would reliably feed near empty, and reliably lock the slide back on empty, after that long magazine spring is fully decompressed. That means when loaded, the top round will be pushing up on the bottom of the slide harder than standard magazines. That is making the gun feel "tighter". It is just pushing the slide up harder against the FCU's rails.

I think that’s part of it but it even feels tighter when empty though. I feel the same way as the OP and I believe it’s the base pad sleeve seats a little more snug in the magwell than the 21 rounder. Definitely feel less wiggle in the mag making the whole gun just feel more solid.

You put the magazine in and the slides are tight everything feels better the 30 round magazine even matches your pistol grip perfect on the X series.
