About to pick up my SP2022 tomorrow, and I found a great deal on Winchester 124gr Nato rounds. Bought about 3 boxes for about $33, but I didn't do my research first. Now I'm seeing mixed info about whether or not they are safe for regular use. I wanted to get a higher grain round, but I want to make sure I don't hurt my new Sig.

No problem. Shoot them up and your SP2022 will beg for more. The SP2022 is a very robust design. If you are going to shoot cases of them you might want to change the recoil spring maybe after 3000 rounds than the recommended 5000 rounds.

If you are as old as me, you know that the 124/125 NATO is the standard 9mm round. They were around for many years before US ammo makers started watering them down then pumping them backup calling them +p. 115gr didn't exist for years. Any quality pistol will shoot NATO rounds until the cows come home. Have fun.
