My new to me P226 in 40 S&W

I found a P226 for sale in N. Florida. Always up for a road-trip I rode up there on my motorcycle, 432 miles, and bought it.
I ordered some necessary parts, and registered the warranty, even though it was made in about 2005 thru 2008.
It was an LEO turn in that probably wasn't issued, there isn't a mark on it. The barrel has a few smilies from handling, but it is tight.
I had a pair of Hogue G10 grips and a set of TI Connection titanium grip screws.
An Armory Craft dual adjustable trigger, and a Sig SRT sear and safety lifter. Thanks to Milos.
A 17 pound trigger spring and purple sear spring, also A.C.
Lastly I ordered a Sig 357 Sig barrel, but it's not here yet.

That may be older than you think. My duty 226 40 was issued to me the fall of 2001 and it’s s/n is U647… still yours looks like it never left the armory, great acquisition.

Always nice to see a P series Sig find a good home. How did she look under the grips?
how does the barrel get that much wear if it was never issued? someone's been firing it.
No rail, short extractor, g10s , good to go.

Very nice!
Fabulous find. I think I'll move to Florida, you have LGS' that have much cooler things than the offerings here in Wisconsin...

Well done with the upgrades - great gun!!

I thought so too. But it's clean inside, not the slightest hint of powder residue. It is tight and the underside of the hood has rubbed too,
I believe it was just handled a lot.
My 357 Sig barrel came in today, now it's perfect.
