My New P322....AWESOME...!!

1761 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Chris M
Just picked this up from my FFL. Yesterday. Here is the info
on my gun.

DOM: April 14th, 2022.
Serial: 73A007xxx
Price total with transfer fee: $418.35.
Purchased from Primary Arms.
No shipping charge. No taxes.

Trigger Pull: Using a Wheeler Digital Gauge:
Average was 3.78lbs with the highest reading at 4.28lbs.
The lowest reading was 2.99lbs.

Ammo: My gun so far has shot the best with CCI Mini-Mags
36gr HP's. Just as well also with CCI Stinger's. Not too good
with Winchester 36gr HP's. Imagine that...:geek:

Mag loading tip: I have got both of my mags to hold 20rds like they're
suppose to. When loading them; Hold the mag and a slight angle upwards
with the bullet pointing up. ONE BULLET AT A TIME...The last two rounds on
each mag I used the included mag loading tool.

I have shot my gun over 400 times since I picked it up yesterday morning.
Only one misfire. Winchester 36gr HP. Hard primer hit. Dud bullet.

I am applying for my stamp to get a suppressor for this next week.
Cant wait..!! My FFL said it takes about 65 days now instead of months..

Everyone have a safe holiday weekend..!!
AK.

I'm jealous. They are hard to find right now. Which kind of suppressor are you looking at? I have the Sig SRD22X and I do really like it but I'm also looking at picking up a Dead Air Mask.

Put about 1500 rounds through mine so far. Learned a few things. If you get light strikes when it gets dirty the problem is crud in hole where the firing pin rides in the breech. It builds up and gets between the tip of the firing pin and the case. You will be able to see it when it happens. All you have to do is dry fire it about three times. That knocks the crud out. When you load the mags only pull the tab down just enough to load the next round. That eliminates feeding problems. Also don't use really hot ammo. Slide velocity will cause problems with feeding. The mag spring can't feed the rounds up fast enough to keep up with the slide.

If you use decent ammo and no super hot stuff it will be as close to being $100% reliable as any .22 auto can be

Spot on, same experience with mine.

Mine will run the really hot light grain stuff like CCI Stingers, 32 grain and Federal Punch, 29 grain, but the heavier 40 grain hot rounds like CCI Velocitors or Aguila Interceptors are what cause the problems in mine.

Here is how I found mine. Go to this site. They show who has them in stock and how much.
Also shows a list of businesses that carry them but out of stock.
Good luck..!! Here is the direct link to the P322 list:

Are extra mags available now?
They were available for order on Sig’s website a couple days ago, but sold out. Gotta keep checking and order fast when available.

Congrats on the new gun. My buddy has a P322. We put my Dead Air Mask on it. I can highly recommend it. It shot great, super quiet, no malfunctions, no point of impact shift. I will get a P322 as soon as I can find one.

Side note. I filed for my Mask on Jan 25th, it took me 105 days to get it. I also have another can in jail right now. Filed Feb 16th, I am at 101 days right now. I don't expect it for at least another 3-4 weeks. Right now they are approving submissions from Feb 1-3 ish. Not trying to rain on your parade, but 65 days filing today is not realistic. The longer you wait, the more people get in line ahead of you.

Here is a great resource for approvals.
