My first .357 Sig (P229)

Found this today at my LGS, a West German frame P229 with two mags in decent shape. Slide action feels really smooth and the trigger is nice, both in DA and SA. Looking at the internals seems like another gun that was carried quite a bit and shot sparingly. Night sights are dark, but at $500 with 100 rds of ammo thrown in, I just had to take it home.

There’s several of these, look like police trade-ins, on GB right now for $499. But add shipping and transfer you’re closer to $600. Still not bad.

Nice find. For me, it's been the opposite. I find a P229 in .40, then get a .357 SIG barrel.

Plus you got 2 boxes of 357 which is worth about $60-$70 so your basis is around $430-$440. Did your LGS charge you tax or was the $500 out the door?
