My 229 deal

I was talking to one of my Brothers at work the other day when he told me he had a P229 to sell. I said bring it in and I'll take a look. The next day he brought in DAO/DAK in 40S&W. The gun looked great; it has been hydro-dipped in Kryptic camo. I asked how much he wanted and he responded $500 with ammo. I told him I'd take it. He then gave me 8 boxes of factory ammo, 250 S&B 180gr HP, 100 Winchester Ranger 180 FP and 50 Winchester Ranger 180 HP. I think I did real good one this one.

Sounds like a good price. The ammo is a great bonus. The hydro dip for me would count against its value lol

Not a huge fan of the hydro-dip either, That can be changed easy enough. My Buddy owns Spectrum Coating and does amazing cera-kote.

That gives me a great idea. Bead blast my P229 slide down to the stainless finish, and then get it semi transparent camo dipped so that the stainless makes it pop!
