Hi I was hoping to upgrade my pistol grip to like a nice rubber grip. I have a hogue on my saiga and had a hogue on my 1911. I like their grips. Fits my hand real well and just works for me.
I tried searching regarding grips but I came up short on any real info. I haven't found any grip upgrades either.
Is it safe to assume that a standard AR type grip will work? The mpx has 2 springs and detents I guess? Unlike the AR which only has the one.
If anyone's upgraded theirs can you chime in? Can I use standard AR grip? And will I have to drill a hole for the 2nd detent spring.
I read similar too. But I'd like to hear from people who done it first hand. Hell I know it's just a grip why don't I throw a magpul moe on it. But I'll wait.
I also went with a nice ergo on mine. I have tried the Magpuls and the BCM's and I just enjoy the softer rubber feel of the ergo. Just be a little cautious as others have said when you remove your's so you don't have a spring go flying away.
Yep the soft rubber is great. I have only moe's on my ar's but on my saiga it's the Hogue. Very nice. But I get the idea not the same on the AR. I'm gonna order one and try it. For a while I thot instead to add a hogue grip wrap. But just gonna go the grip route.
No need to drill a second hole. Lay the MPX on it's left side and slowly align the grip with its screw hole and push up to compress and secure both springs and tighten.
I ordered the SIG reduced angle grip. I've also heard the grip is a little larger than the OEM grip on my Copperhead. The OEM is a little small in my grip.
