MPX PCC - Clean & Lube Gas Plug/Piston?

Hi all. I just picked-up a MPX PCC. How often are you cleaning your gas plug & piston? Also, the manual does not mention lubing the gas plug or piston after cleaning. Are you lubing them after cleaning, or leaving them dry to help prevent carbon caking? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
I clean the plug every time I clean the gun. I also remove the barrel every time I clean. Much easier than cleaning it all as one assembly. Mind you I clean about every 500-600 rounds. Typically, that’s 2 range sessions. The plug has a very thin coat of oil. I haven’t had any caking issues.

Good info Ken, I was wondering the same thing as the OP. It's certainly easy enough to remove!!
MPXs seem to be very clean running guns. I take everything down once a year and clean it...maybe every 2000 rounds and have never had any cleanliness related issues. I punch the barrel more regularly like every 4-500 rnds. with quick brass brush four or five times with bore brite and then same with rem oil and a strip of cloth. but I do typically shoot the federal syntec ammo which is super non fouling.

Same as KenBry, I clean it everytime I clean the gun. Very light and wiped dry on any lube application. Hope that helps.
