When was the last time you cleaned it including the piston? If you haven’t done so, clean it and shoot it again. My main USPSA MPX gets cleaned inside and out every 100-1.5k rounds which is about every week after practice and matches.

Thanks for the input. I only had a few hundred shots thru it. How would a dirty piston cause the bolt to drag two rounds off the magazine? When was the last time you cleaned it including the piston? This magazine thing seems to make sense to me, why else would the gun allow two bullets to be drawn off the top of the magazine, there's no other reason other than magazine design. Or the bolt design. You say factory mags.. there are to different type of factory mags used in newer Gen 3 MPX now can you please show which ones you are using?

I wouldn’t get to wrapped up in that idea. Many many people have used the old style (lancer) mags with great success. Yours is the first I have read about having regular double feeds. I have shot thousands of rounds through my MPX and never had double feeds. This magazine thing seems to make sense to me, why else would the gun allow two bullets to be drawn off the top of the magazine, there's no other reason other than magazine design. Is it possible I didn't jam the mag in hard enough? Twice?I wouldn’t get to wrapped up in that idea. Many many people have used the old style (lancer) mags with great success. Tough to say. I honestly would have to start from the beginning to end in trouble shooting it. Also I would take it to the range and start playing with each possible thing till I figured it out.Is it possible I didn't jam the mag in hard enough? Twice?
I'm going to agree on this one. My MPX have never had any issue with feeding, stovepipes, or FTE's.I wouldn’t get to wrapped up in that idea. Can you explain this part a bit more? How were they “jammed”? One (or both) didn’t just fall out when you removed the magazine? Understanding exactly what the “double feed” looked like could help us understand what was going on.I loaded both mags FULL and staged the PPC as my second gun. It jammed at least three times on both magazines, everytime it looked like it was trying to double feed. I had to drop the mag and dig the bullets out of the bolt area each time.
Thanks for the effort and the reply, I really appreciate the helpWhen you load the first round into the chamber are you pulling the charging handle and slowly letting it go forward or are you pulling and letting it fly forward under full force? Are you using the bolt release to let the bolt go forward or charging handle after your magazine is in?
I duplicated a double feed like you posted and every time it was because the bolt going in slow. What would happen is the first round would go in and the extractor wouldn’t catch the case edge so next cycle the round would stay and the second would double up.
Also is your extractor operating correct? if it’s not grabbing that round right the second will fail.
When you got the gun did you clean out all the original packing oil? It’s thicker than standard gun oil. It can get gummy and cause malfunctions.
Todd, needless to say if it's the extractor send it back to Sig!! With a lowThanks for the effort and the reply, I really appreciate the help
I will give it a clean and evaluate the extractor, go from there.
