Hello fellow Sig-o-philes!
I'm looking at purchasing a new MPX, in the 8 inch barrel length. I've read stories about the early variants having the annoying habit of shooting gas in your face when cycling. Most of these postings I've read are a few years old, and was curious if Sig has remedied this issue? Also, if it makes a difference, I will not be running it suppressed. Thanks in advance, and hopefully your answers will help me with newest obsession

Unsuppressed +P 9mm does not bother me with either generation of MPX. The problem is caused with a suppressor per members that run suppressed.

I run a mpx suppressed with a .45 suppressor and really don't have any issues with gas to the face even doing a mag dump. It does blow some gas out of the ejection port and a little around the back but never enough to make it hard to breath or make my eyes water at all. I'm running a Rugged Obsidian .45 modular can with a 3 lug and 147 grain ammo.

No gas issues here and I run mine indoors at least once a month.
