Tagging along if anyone replies. I am going to the range in the next couple weeks. I have boxes of Federal Gold Medal Match Sierra BTHP 175 gr, SSA 175 Gr, and Black Hills BTHP 175 gr I'm going to try.

I moved my Nikon M308 BDC from my 716 to my SCAR 17. I shot a 1 to 1.5 MOA at 100 yards with mil surplus ammo - 150 grain bullet. Did not get that accuracy with the 716.

Mine's fairly consistent with Federal's American Eagle 7.62x51mm, 168 grain, Open Tip Match.

Unfortunately, I've run out of this ammunition.

It consistently gives me 0.5 to 1 MOA at 100 meters.

Some suggest that the bullet's made by Speer.

every gun can like different ammo, try different ones to see what yours likes
Exactly! There are always slight differences in the throat and chamber measurements between rifles. You just have to experiment. As a general rule though the more expensive the better it shoots. Have fun:salute2:

This is exactly my experience. This is excellent ammo and shoots 1 MOA at 300 yds.
