I've been looking at a MK25 slide ,wanting to build a 226 with out a rail,copying the specks of a mk25,,Question is there a difference in MK 25 slides and regular slides?

MK 25 slide is short extractor.
Regular slide is long external extractor.

As 12131 advised, current production is the "long" Extractor, but you can still find the older "short" Extractor slides too... Sig Sauer P226 Legacy Slide, 9mm, Black: MGW (midwestgunworks.com) it's just that the MK25 would be complete with a chrome lined Barrel.

Yes and no, I built it for my daughter who is in the Navy. But since she is stationed abroad I keep it with me.
