Hi guys

I've lurked around in here for quite a while without posting anything of real value to add, lol. Figured I'd give it a go.

For my MCX 11.5 5.56, I hated to grip, so I changed it to a magpull MIAD gen 1.1, what a difference!!! My thumb can actually reach the controls now, and actually put the safety to the 3rd setting now. I also have the trigger now right on my pad of my index finger, which is really nice. With the stock grip I was shooting with the trigger on the first ligament of my index. So for any of you guys that have the stock grip, and it just doesn't fit you right, I strongly suggest buying this kit.

I find grips on guns as hit and miss in size, with no real life sizes to compare. One person says they have large hands, same size guy says small hands, etc. But how about finger length, palm size, finger strength, etc. ***? This kit comes with 3 sizes, I used the largest. My index finger from knuckle to end of finger is 3.5", my middle finger is 4".

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! It was a simple install, there's a YouTube video on ir as well. Mine kind of sucked because I have a binary trigger..... complicates the safety spring, but I got it figured out.

Oh, I forgot, the front I went with the finger groovee because it felt good, but it comes without as well. The cool part (I've never installed and AR grip, just handgun so maybe this is normal) but you can change the rear without taking it off the rifle, so install and then see what you like.

Very nice. I went with the angled BCM Mod3. A big improvement. I'm interested in your binary trigger. Would love to run one in mine. But worried about the trigger/carriage assembly situation being a problem. I think yours is the first factory FDE MCX I've seen. Looks nice. More pics.

Thanks!! Mine isn't FDE, I cerakote it desert verde. It's a cool color, kind of a tan with a green hue, perfect for palmetto brush here in FL. I wanted an FDE, but couldn't find one!!

It's actually come to bite me in the arse, as I know ordered a suppressor hand guard, lol. But I like funky stuff, so maybe the black handguard will look cool? Something about the rail being harshly mixed with the desert verde may be appealing, or not, we'll see. Otherwise it's another payment to the cerakote guy.

I have the first gen binary trigger, I think, ordered it last year, may be the 2nd gen, but def. Not this 3rd Gen that came out from franklin armory. My gunsmith just ordered some and i want to check them out. It's fun as hell!!! I love it because you can focus on one target, fire, not relaease, then next target, release and fire. Of course you can also dump mags like the bump fires, but honestly, I see those as spray and pray. The Binary is WWWWWAAAAYYYY more functional to me in a real life situation like hunting. For warning though, I talked to Sig, and if you do the recall bolt fix, it won't work with binary triggers, supposedly. I told them I didn't want it. They thought I was nuts, but I love it. Plus, 5 to 10 years down the road, may be worth more......because of this? Who knows?
