M400 Form 1 - what are people using successfully for a model?

I picked up a new PM400 11.5” 5.56 pistol with the intent of SBRing it. However, it doesn’t have a model name, number or caliber on the lower - “SIGM400” only appears on the upper.

Those of you that have sucessfully SBRed their M400 on an E-form 1 - what did you put for a model number? I’m thinking of submitting a photo that shows both the lower and upper engraving and calling it a “SIGM400.”

I built an SBR with a 516 G2 Patrol 10.5” upper and M400 lower. I put “M400” as the model, since that’s what the paperwork said and if they track the serial number back Sig would show it as an M400. No issues with the Form 1.

The first three digits of your serial identify your model: 20L. So SIG 20L tells SIG what it is and it should work for ATF.

The lower receiver engraving with the serial number is what the eForm 1 is pertaining too. From the "photo from the web" it looks perfect. Even without the model stamped on the lower receiver, it still has the ff:
the state/country of origin of make,
Manufacturer's name
and serial #. The serial # will match the model of your weapon if everything you input is correct.

Take a digital pic of the lower markings and you're gtg.

I decided to use the ATF “ask the experts” function - I’ll report back.
