LPA SIGHTS

As I mentioned in a previous thread, my Sig P229 Leo came with LPA adjustable fiber optic sites. Although I'm not very fond of them, I am also not offended by them. They are very accurate, and I also switch between .40&.357 which makes the adjustability convenient. The problem I have now is since this is my EDC, and I live in the desert, the rather large size is inconvenient and the fact that my body sweat is causing the rear sight to rust! Therefore it is obviously time to go to fixed tritium. I believe number 6 front number 8 rear considering my EDC carry is 357.( please correct me if I am wrong) that being said:unsure: my question is what is the best overall site with the best price that I should be looking at?

There are many to choose from. Years ago I decided on Speed Sights on all my pistols with the green with tritium front sight and white with tritium rear sights. Very quick target acquisition! Here is a link to learn more about them....Best Handgun & Pistol Sights for Glock | Sig | XD | Walther | Smith Wesson.

Good luck with your research!
.357 Sig pistols normally carried #8 both front and rear.

I have been choosing the Ameriglo Spartan sights with the Orange front. SKU: SG-446

I looked at the website for the speed sights, very impressive! More money that I wanted to spend $150. But now they're in my head, thank you very much. In the past I've always been impressed with the TruGlo TFX Pro, but I feel they're too large for this particular carry gun, was thinking about the TruGlo TFX (non pro) but their website does not specify anti-rust coating on that model, on the pro model it specifies non rust coating. Don't want to be in the same situation as the LPAs!

You can get them cheaper than their website, I get them at Shooting Surplus quite often... Ameriglo Tritium Spartan Oper. Green/Green SIG #8 (shootingsurplus.com) or check Gun Broker vendors.

You may want to be on the lookout for Memorial Sales. Some companies are starting their sales this week.....
