You may want to reconsider using a leather holster with a striker fired pistol. An incident occurred with a leather holster and a Glock where the leather deformed and bent in toward the trigger and caused an AD.

Please share details about this incident like what material the holster was made from, who the holster maker was, how experienced was this person to begin with and any other details that might help one make the decision to NOT use leather.

Sounds ridiculous to me to be honest. If you buy a quality leather holster like Milt Sparks you'd know that the leather is quite thick and durable. There won't be any bending of the leather to get it into the trigger guard at all. Authentic quality gun leather isn't cheap. Many try to get a leather holster for $40 like Versa Cary. That isn't gun leather. Not even close.

OP buy quality leather and you'll be fine, buy junk and you'll get junk.
You might have to wait for few weeks but they are the best IMO

When leather gets wet, be it from sweat, excessive humidity, etc it will soften up and deform.

If the leather can bend like that then in my opinion its not worthy of having a gun put in it. For instance, Milt Sparks. They use horse hide as the backing to the Versa Max II model. Horse hide is much more resistant to moisture and their leather overall is much thicker and more sturdy than what that Galco is showing.

Sucks that it happened but again you get what you pay for in my opinion when it comes to leather holsters. There are examples of Milt Sparks holsters that are 20-30 years old that haven't deformed like that with daily use. Not all gun leather is created equal.

Well , that's why you don't go cheap on your holsters ..
Get the best quality and make sure it covers trigger bar completely ..

My favorite has become 1791 Gunleather, just as good of quality and only half the price of others I have tried.

**** holster. Likely not even made specifically for the intended Pistola. I've seen a lot of that - even here on these boards with so many supposedly "expert" pistoleros -Not!
