Does anyone know when Sig first offered the K-Kote slides on the Classic P-Series guns?

K-Koted SIGs were seen in the early 90s, then intermittently throughout the decade. The last K-Koted SIGs seen were the M11Bs in 2012.

I take back about the early ones. Here is an even earlier one, a 1986 Tysons Corner P226 that was K-Koted in W. Germany.

The 2012 K-Koted M11B slide is correct. You will notice the appearance of the W. German coated gun is different from the M11B. The early ones all have that very smooth cushion-like look, while the M11B has that granulated look. Not a surprise, since the M11B K-Kote was done by a different company here in the US.

Thanks Q. That old K-Kote makes it look refinished.

But it's not, though. That is how it looks coming from factory. I like it very much. It looks almost like the Ilaflon finish done on some SIGs years later.

when I bought my first P226 in 1987, K-Kote was an option but I could never locate on to buy...that was my reason for initially sending my P226 off to Klein Plating for the EN finish...
