I'm new to the Sig Talk forums, so if this isn't posted in the correct place then I apologize. I recently purchased my first Sig pistol, a p232. The thing looks and feels great. I took it to the range and shot 50 rounds through it and I had no failures.

However, upon further inspection I see that my slide is not flush with frame when looking at the rear end.

Here is a picture to illustrate the problem:

If you look closely then you will see the slide and bottom frame aren't flush. The slide extends backwards too far by about 2 millimeters.

I've tried to look at pictures of other peoples p232's and they don't seem to have this defect. It is noticeable when I'm cocking the hammer as my thumb sometimes catches on the overhang.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something that I would have to send to back to Sig to get fixed?

Well, it looks to me as though the slide is not quiet closed into place. I don't have the 232, but do have a Makarov and a Bersa, and both are flush here. Actually all my auto's are flush.

It doesn't look right to me.......but I'm no expert. I have had my 1st Sig only about a month.

I would ask SIG about this. My 232 stainless is a "bit" better fit, but the right side does not close perfectly flush as does the left side.It is off maybe 6-7 thousands of an inch. The function is flawless.
