GB # 937205323
Serial # B 291539; 1999 (KK) proofed, imported by Foxtrot Lima in Elbridge, NY.
Wonder if this were ever a police gun while in Germany.

A reasonable assumption either due to to this pistol needing a new Hammer, and that's all the Armorer had, in his kit, or a "Special Configuration" destined for German Police.

If it was a police gun, it must have sat in the armory more than in an officers holster from the lack of finish wear that I can see from the pics. If it’s a regular non pd gun, why replace the hammer when it doesn’t look like it was used to the point of parts replacement. At least the import mark is better looking than cai & pw’s.

Too much light on the pics, whiting them out, gives you the illusion of not so much wear. A trick used by many sellers. This is a black gun that looks so pale in seller's pics.

You're right, if you filter the excess light, it does look differently...

Is that marking toward the front of the dust cover an additional proof mark or just a ding?
^^^ Looks like a ding to me.

Only if it drops on the hammer spur somewhere.
