Initial P365 Range Report

My son and I took the spanking new P365 out for its first date and she is sweet. We put almost 160 rds of White Box down it and a few rounds of Federal HST. No jambs, no failures to go into battery, nada. The magazines were a beast to load even when I used a Maglula, but I understand that they loosen up with time. I noticed that I tended to shoot low left and the son shot high right. I wonder if this may be do to the fact that I have cadet size hands and his are mediums.

Interestingly, both shot more accurately than we did the P229 on SA.

I don't think it should make any difference, but if it does mine has a manual safety.

All but a few magazines were loosed at 7 yards.

Tagets were paper silhouettes.

The gun came spotlessly clean from a BassPro and I simply added a few drops of premium gun oil.

Besides the magzines being hard to load, it was very difficult using the take down lever, but I also understand this will ease as the recoil springs wear in.

I think its a keeper.

After a year…

I think P365 mag springs are made of unobtanium.

After a year the magazine should be well broken in. Did you try taking it apart and see if there are any burrs on the follower. If that doesn't help I would contact sig and ask for a replacement.
