I'm Glock-less

My oldest son graduated from college, moved out of town and took his Glock with him. The Sigs, Smiths, Tauruses Thomsons, Rugers and others are lonely so I may have to go into town and buy a Glock...

Don't do it! Fight the feeling and buy a Shadow Systems gun. Glop like, but better.

Every home should have a Glock.

They are cheap, dependable, durable, easily accessorizable and disposable.

Great car guns, perfect for harsh conditions, where you might not want to subject you finer weapons to...

Just buy something like a P226 Equinox or similar. I think you'll feel much better about your loss. :)

Traded my last Glock 19X for a SIG M17. Already had two P320’s but, made my safe Glockless. Feels good, never looked back haha! Still have plenty of 40 and 9mm Glock mags; can run the 9mm in my PCC and those .40 mags are tempting me for a CMMG Banshee…

How about adding a P210 to your collection?

ETA: Congrats on your son’s graduation! Proud dad I’m sure!!

I guess that I don't understand the popularity... I remember checking them out, back in the early '80s, during my 1911 days, and never felt the urge to actually buy one. I helped a couple of friends navigate gun shows back in the 80s, and one in particular looking for a Model 19. Then the choices were either adjustable sight, or fixed, and the knucklehead chose the adjustable sight, against my suggestion. A month later, I had to fit a custom altered rear, out of an aftermarket 1911 rear sight into his dovetail. I never understood the plastic sights...

Later dealt with some Model 22s, while my department was trying to select .40 S&W chambered replacements for our German 9mm P226s. Along with Beretta 96s, went through a couple thousand rounds apiece. Just couldn't get accustomed to the "BLOCKY" feel...

As many who have followed my rants before, personally I don't care for striker fired pistols, I prefer hammer fired pistols. That's one reason my previously owned Kahr K9 was "re-homed". and while I still do own an early striker... a P08, it will stick around for a while, mostly as a curio!

Been Glock-less since 2007, when I retired from LE and the mandated Glock 21 service pistol. I have a couple SIG P320s and a P365MS, as well as a sole Kahr, to scratch my striker itch, but a Glock is not on the horizon.

I have a Gen 3 Glock 21. The grip is huge and I like it. I like it better and shoot it better than my P227. Plus it uses the same mags as my 45 AR15. It's good to have at least one.

I own a Glock M17. I keep it in my **** bag with the fire starters and water filters that I don’t expect to ever need.

Just kidding! Nothing wrong with Glocks. Carried various model/caliber Glocks for 25 years. Today I’m Glock-less.

Same here and I’m okay with that.

I would rather be Glock-less than Sig-less.
