If all of the sudden open carry was all the rage, and practically EVERYONE did it, what would you carry?

Imagine a world where everybody's armed and no one wanted to conceal anymore. People just figured out that an armed society was a police society, so now everyone carries and carries openly. Maybe they have a backup hidden, but leaving the house without a gun on your hip, under the shoulder, or what have you was now like leaving the house forgetting to put your pants on.

What would you carry?

P.s. I am not looking for outrageous answers unless it is really what you would carry.

Ok, I respect that and I am very much the same way. But the gun is what is important to me, not the reason. So let's assume for whatever reason you decided you wanted to open carry. What would you carry?

Personally, I would probably carry a Beretta 92 by LTT (possibly with an optic):

I'd carry the same thing I carry now. In the same holster. I'd worry less about cover garments and printing.

For tactical reasons I do not open carry. I can here in OH, and I see very few that do. Most of us that choose to carry at all, do it via concealing.
For that reason, I would not change what or how I carry.

I wouldn’t change much. I’d still carry my same EDC P229 Legion in 9mm or 357 and would still carry concealed. If the question is similar to asking what would I do if open carry was the ONLY legal option (concealed not legal) I would carry my P226s. On duty I carried a P226 so I’m used to it and still feel it to be the best high capacity combat handgun in the world when not needing to conceal.

I would still carry my P365XL. Probably owb with my shirt over it. I don’t like to broadcast or make a target of myself.

For all the anti-gun nonsense here the past few years WA is still an open carry state, but I see very few people doing it. You might get away with it in rural eastern WA, but expect to be harassed in Seattle. But assuming we're talking about a parallel universe where the streets of modern USA still look like the Wild West I'd probably just carry one of my 1911s in an OWB pancake rig.

My HK P30L. For now I CCW my P30SK instead when I want to carry a hammer fired pistol.

There are several OC states already and they aren’t overrun with people doing it. Hell it’s legal to sky dive too but you don’t see everyone jumping out of planes.
Having said that like I’ve been doing for decades I’d still carry a 1911 Commander of some sort or caliber. Lastly even if it was legal to OC here I would choose not to. I’d feel obligated to carry in some sort of retention style holster if I did. I prefer nice owb leather ones that are open tops.

That's not the point. The point is, if you opened carried, what would you carry. It's a hypothetical question.
